An experiment was conducted during 1992-93 and 1993-94 to study the effect of integrated use of 4 levels of nitrogen (0, 50, 75 and 100% recommended 112 kg N/ha) and 5 levels of pressmud cake (0, 2, 4, 6 tonnes/ha and 4 tonnes/ha pressmud cake + 5 kg/ha Azotobacter) on the uptake, yield and quality of sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.). Their integrated use improved the utilization efficiency (%) of applied nitrogen.
