Laboratory tests with insecticides for evaluation of the mortality of the cotton boll weevil Anthonomus grandis Boh

Laboratory testes were carried out with several pyrethroid and phosphorate insecticides to evaluate their effectiveness against the boll weevil, Anthonomus grandis Boh. The insecticides were sprayed on adults using the Potter tower. Seventy two to 96 hours after application of phosphorate and pyrethroides insecticides mortality rate was gt 80%.
