Abstract
The effects of the level of the development and preceding fertilization of soddy-podzolic medium loamy soil on potato productivity and nitrogen-14 ammonium nitrate balance were studied in a field stationary experiment during 7 years. Potato productivity depended to a large extent on soil fertility and time of fertilizer nitrogen application. The effectiveness of fertilizer nitrogen and the structure of its balance were approximately the same in medium- and well-developed soddy-podzolic soil.
