On the systematics of the Permian ammonoid family Perrinitidae

On the systematics of the Permian ammonoid family Perrinitidae

Paleontologicheskii Zhurnal 1996(2): 25-33

The family of perrinitids has been revised. The new classification with two subfamilies and 10 genera is proposed. It is argued by the analysis of the composition of the inner and outer fragments of suture line, shell morphology, stratigraphic and geographic distribution in the permian deposits of the Earth. The brief characteristics for every accepted taxon are given.
