A fertility study of lafutidine (FRG-8813), a histamine H-2-receptor antagonist with gastroprotective activity, was performed in Crj : CD (SD) rats at dose levels of 30, 100 and 300 mg/kg/ day. FRG-8813 was administered orally to male rats from the 63rd day before mating until successful copulation, and to female rats from the 14th day before mating until day 7 of gestation.
