Sensitivity of two strains of Spodoptera exigua (Lep. Noctuidae) to S. exigua and M. brassicae npv and to the preparation floristin

Sensitivity of two strains of Spodoptera exigua (Lep. Noctuidae) to S. exigua and M. brassicae npv and to the preparation floristin

Mededelingen Faculteit Landbouwkundige en Toegepaste Biologische Wetenschappen Universiteit Gent 62(2B): 539-542

The sensitivity of strain of pest S. exigua, sensitive to chemical insecticides, was assessed for S. exigua and M. brassicae NPV and the commercial product Floristin. The biological tests were made by free ingestion of treated nutrient medium. The LC50 obtained were 8.5 pol/mm2 for S. exigua NVA, 9.4 pol/mm2 for M. brassicae NPV and 9.0 pol/mm2 for Floristin. Two identical tests were repeated with a strain of S. exigua larvae resistant to pyrethoids (R = 210 to Delthamethrin).
