Taxonomic notes on California species of Cirsium (Asteraceae: Cardueae)

Three new combinations are proposed for taxa of Cirsium occurring in California: Cirsium douglasii var. breweri (C. breweri var. breweri), C. fontinale var. campylon (C. campylon), and C. occidentale var. californicum (C. californicum).
