Use electron microscopy technique in fine needle aspiration cytology of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma

Use electron microscopy technique in fine needle aspiration cytology of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma

Acta Academiae Medicinae Hubei 13(2): 133-134

14 cases of non-Hodgkin's lymphomas (NHL) were observed by scanning and transmitting electron microscopy (EM). According to histological classification, there were 6 cases of T-lymphocyte origin and 8 cases of B-lymphocyte origin. How to prepare needle aspiration cytological EM specimen and the advantages and defects of this technique were discussed. The cells features of two types of NHL under scanning and transmitting electron microscopy were also discussed.
