Abstract
The egg energy content of the sand dollar Clypeaster rosaceus was determined. A previous report by Emlet (J. Exp. Mar. Biol. 1986;95:183-202) gave the egg energy as 0.047 ± 0.007 SD joules/egg, which is low. The present study, using an improved technique, produced a result of 0.11 ± 0.014 SD joules/egg.
