(2,2':6',2''-Terpyridine)platinum(II) complexes possess pronounced cytostatic activities against trypanosomes and leishmania. As shown here, the complexes are irreversible inhibitors of trypanothione reductase (TR) from Trypanosoma cruzi, the causative agent of Chagas' disease.
