Classfication of rice cultivars and testing sites based on varietal reaction patterns to rice leaf blast(Pyricularia grisea)

In order to get basic information needed for researching rice blast resistance and developing rice blast resistant varieties, 44 entries at 21 test sites of rice blast nursery from 1981 to 1996 were analyzed based on the leaf blast reaction score. The 21 test sites were classified into 7 location groups(LGPs). Mean leaf blast score of LGPs showed moderately susceptible. LGP15, LGP19 and LGP2 showed distinct blast reaction patterns, thus they formed individual location group.
