Ecophysiological research of phototrophic organisms is the fundamental basis for the decision of such applied ecological problem, as development of methods of the pollution control of water environment with the use of specially selected species for testing, the indications and study long-term receipt of heavy metals in reservoirs. The most suitable objects for biotesting are cyanobacteria and microalgae, and the most suitable objects for bioaccumulation - algae-macrophytes.
