Some remarks on the use of a general species concept in the Ranunculus auricomus complex (Ranunculus sectio ranunculus)

Some remarks on the use of a general species concept in the Ranunculus auricomus complex (Ranunculus sectio ranunculus)

Floristische Rundbriefe 32(2): 129-134

Within Ranunculus auricomus complex (Ranunculus sectio Ranunculus) a single concept is today used to treat the agamic lineages; analogically to the treatments of most other agamospermous groups in Europe the basic biotypes are accepted as species. It seems to be appropriate to treat all facultative agamospermous biotypes in the same way. A general species concept (close to SAWADSKI 1968) - consisting of 10 general characters - is pointed out that includes all species types at least partially.
