Origanum vulgare L. is a backcrossing plant which allows pollination between flowers within one partial inflorescence. Origanum vulgare is characterized by the morning type of blossoming when the main quantity of flowers (up to 86 per cent) opens from 10 to 12 a. m. The duration of blossoming of one flower varies from 5 to 8, one plant - 37 days. The plant is pollinated by insects, mainly bees, as well as wind.
