In subtropical area like Taiwan, generally two crops of rice are grown annually. The temperature increases during the first crop season and decreases during the second crop season. The significant fluctuation in temperature pattern may cause varying grain yield and quality. The objective of the present research was to investigate the influences of temperature during different grain filling stages on yield components and grain quality for japonica type and indicia type cultivars.
