Vegetative growth of tomato plants (Lycopersicon esculentum): Impact of salinity on the vegetative growth and reproduction

Vegetative growth of tomato plants (Lycopersicon esculentum): Impact of salinity on the vegetative growth and reproduction

Phyton (Buenos Aires) 63(1-2): 103-110

This study on the effect of salinity on vegetative and reproductive growth of tomatoes was carried out at the La Palma Experimental Station of the Faculty of Agronomy, Catholic University of Valparaiso, Chile. Steiner's culture medium (electrical conductivity, EC = 2.5 mmhocntdotcm-1) was adjusted to EC's of 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 mmhoscntdotcm-1 by addition of NaCl.
