Yield and quality of red currant berries with different ways of forming brush in Udmurtija

Izvestiya Timiryazevskoi Sel'skokhozyaistvennoi Akademii (4): 81-90, October-December

In 5 red currant varieties formed by two methods (bush and bush on a trunk) biological potential was estimated by comparing real (kg/bush) and biological (kg/bush) yield and by calculating yielding capacity (centher/ha). Real and biological yield of trunk currant is almost 2 times lower than that of bush currant. It is possible to increase the yield of trunk currant by packed plantings, which is shown in the article by using calculated biological yielding capacity as an example.
