Abstract
The mycobacterial activities of cinamyl rifamycin derivatives, T-9 and T-11, especially against extracellular and intracellular Mycobacterium avium complex residing within macrophages and type 11 pneumocytes were compared with those of other rifamycins. The activities of test irifamycins were found to be in the order rifalazil, rifabutin, T-9, T-11, and rifampicin.
