Tablets manufactured from fine powder (average particle size, D= 50.1 mu m) benazepril hydrochloride exhibited unacceptable processing and quality properties whereas microcrystalline material (D= 4.5-7.7 mu m) furnished a product with good processing and quality characteristics.
