Effect of foliar application of plant growth regulators (IAA, GA(3) and kinetin) on nitrate reductase activity and biomass in green-gram (Vigna radiata)

Journal of Applied Bioscience 32(1): 54-58

Foliar application of Indole Acetic Acid (IAA), Gibberellic acid (GA(3)) and kinetin at different stages of growth led to high level of nitrate reductase (NR) activity and biomass. High level of nitrate reductase (NR) activity and biomass were recorded following three sprays of IAA, at vegetative and pre- and post flowering stage. Two sprays of GA(3) and kinetin (pre- and post flowering) were most effective in term of increase and biomass.
