The optimal values of available phosphorus in the soil, the return of phosphoric fertilizers, and their utilization coefficients were found in long-term stationary experiments on southern chernozem in the Volga region. The most efficient rates of phosphoric fertilizers were determined depending on nitrogen nutrition. It was noted that the application of phosphoric fertilizers over a 30-year long period appreciably increased the contents of alumino- and ironphosphates in the soil.
