Heterogeneity of nucleoside kinases in cells of marine microorganisms

Heterogeneity of nucleoside kinases in cells of marine microorganisms

Biologiya Morya 32(1): 60-68

Thymidine and uridine incorporation into nucleic acids was investigated for six strains of marine microorganisms belonging to different genera. The label of either exogenous precursor can be incorporated into both DNA and RNA of the bacterial cells. Activity of nucleoside phosphorylating enzymes was measured in bacterial cell extracts.
