How many endoscopies are performed for colorectal cancer screening? Results from CDC's survey of endoscopic capacity

How many endoscopies are performed for colorectal cancer screening? Results from CDC's survey of endoscopic capacity

Gastroenterology 127(6): 1670-1677

Background & Aims: Estimates of the current number of endoscopic colorectal cancer screening and follow-up examinations being performed are limited. A national study was therefore conducted among US physician practices. Methods: Approximately 1800 medical practices were surveyed from a list of all practices known to have purchased or leased lower endoscopic equipment between 1996 and 2000.
