The pollen germination of the androdioecious tree, Fraxinus sieboldiana BI. (Oleaceae)

The pollen germination of the androdioecious tree, Fraxinus sieboldiana BI. (Oleaceae)

Memoirs of Osaka Kyoiku University Series III Natural Science and Applied Science 54(1): 1-8

The pollen germination of the androdioecious tree, Fraxinus sieboldiana was investigated in three kinds of culture methods; the hanging drop culture, the culture on the cellophane membrane and the culture on the agarose surface. The effects of pH (6, 7, and 8) and sucrose (0%, 10%, 20%) were studied in the hanging drop culture. No pollen germination were observed in this culture.
