Base-line values for insecticide susceptibility of an Indian laboratory strain of diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella (L.) (Lepidoptera: Yponomeutidae)

A susceptible strain of diamondback moth (DBM) was developed by rearing the insects in the laboratory for 58 generations under insecticide-free conditions. A total of 26 insecticides that belonged to different chemical groups, namely organochlorines, organophosphates, carbamates, pyrethroids, tertiary amines, acylurea compounds, Bacillus thuringiensis products, thiourea compounds and one insecticide mixture were used in the experiment.
