The lack of treatment plants means that the waste waters from the city Meknes, Morocco, are introduced directly into its streams. Where the Boufekrane and Ouislane streams cross the city, their waters are subjected to strong physico-chemical pollution that intensifies from upstream to the downstream. Analysis of variance revealed significant differences among the various sampling stations set up on the 2 streams for all the parameters except temperature and sulfates.
