Ecological monitoring of Certified Tropical Humid Forests at the RAAN, Nicaragua; evaluation of ecological forest management impact

The ecological impacts of forest management operations were evaluated in two certified lowland rain forests of the RAAN, Nicaragua, subjected to two different intervention regimes: low intensity harvesting (ABI, harvesting an average 8,9 m3/ha), and the other more intensively harvested (AAI, 17,6 m3/ha). This study was conducted three months and one year after wood harvest for the ABI and AAI, respectively.
