Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay for detection of antibodies against Newcastle disease in layers

Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay for detection of antibodies against Newcastle disease in layers

Indian Veterinary Journal 83(10): 1065-1068

The most commonly used methods to screen the vaccinated and unvaccinated flocks against Newcastle disease are haemagglutination inhibition (HI) test and Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). It has been demonstrated that the ELISA correlates Well HI test by Adair et al., (1989) and Marguardt et al., (1985). The programme was undertaken to study the relationship between ELISA and HI test to assess the sensitivity of ELISA for quantification and determination of immune response of layer chickens with different vaccination regimens against Newcastle disease.
