Because of the botanical composition and diversity of pastures in Brazil, the time allowed by horse handlers for grazing, and the climatic and nutritional factors, horses have to adapt to the frequency of mouthfuls to ingest the maximum amount of forage during grazing so as to maintain their nutritional requirement.
