Essential oil composition of rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis L.) from Calabria (Southern Italy)

The essential oil composition of the leaves of 2-year-old rosemary (R. officinalis) plants from Reggio Calabria in Southern Italy was studied. The essential oil was extracted by water and steam distillation and was analysed by GC/MS. The essential oil content of leaves was determined to be 1.8 wt%.
