Establishment of Agrobacterium-mediated transformation system of lily



Acta Horticulturae Sinica 33(3): 664-666



A genetic transformation system for lily callus (Lilium 'Star Gazer') and leaves (Lilium 'Siberia'), mediated by Agrobacterium tumefaciens, was established. An efficient transformation could be obtained with both callus and leaves as acceptor. A high transformation rate was recorded when the OD600 of A. tumefaciens was between 0.5 and 1.0. There were better screening to callus and leaves when the concentration of hygromycin was 40 mg/l.
