Establishment of SSR (simple sequence repeat) fingerprint of male and female parents of two-line hybrid rice and its application in purity identification of hybrid seeds



Hybrid Rice 20(2): 50-53



DNA fingerprints of 24 male sterile lines and 8 restorer lines of two-line hybrid rice were constructed by using 20 SSR primers. These 20 SSR primers could amplify 70 polymorphic bands, with a mean of 3.5 bands/primer. Forty-eight SSR markers specific for identifying seed purity of 9 two-line cross combinations were acquired. 200 single seeds of Liangyou 932 (a cross combination) were tested with a specific SSR marker (RM302) in the laboratory.
