Ethnobotany of medicinal plants from Tian Mu Shan Biosphere Reserve, Zhejiang-Province, China

Results of an ethnobotanical survey of the Tian Mu Shan biosphere reserve in the ethnic region of Zhejiang, China, conducted in 2005, were presented. Various folklore recipes of 67 medicinal plants from 36 families in the area were recorded and their ethnopharmacological aspects were discussed. The most common families were the Ranunculaceae (13.43%), Rosaceae (7.46%) and Poaceae (5.97%) and most frequent plant parts used are the roots (34%), leaves (26%) and whole plants (18%).
