Etiology of regressive death in rose (Rosa sp.)

Fitopatologia 40(3): 188-193

Regressive death of rose (Rosa sp.) branches was observed in recent years in the central coast of Peru. The disease started from pruning wounds which can ultimately lead to plant death. Microscopic analysis and culture tests identified the causal organisms as Botrytis cinerea, Lasiodiplodia theobromae and Coniothyrium fuckelii.
