Evaluating rural tourism activity by farmers retired from non-farming jobs: a multifunctional perspective

This paper examines, from a multifunctional perspective, the roles and significance of rural tourism activity undertaken by farmers retired from non-farming jobs in Chiba, Japan. The results reveal that rural tourism realizes efficient resource utilization at the farm level.
