Evaluation of Gloeosporium fungal decay attack in Idared and Golden Delicious Reinders cultivars using NIR spectroscopy

Evaluation of Gloeosporium fungal decay attack in Idared and Golden Delicious Reinders cultivars using NIR spectroscopy

Acta Universitatis Agriculturae et Silviculturae Mendelianae Brunensis 54(4): 53-59

A study was conducted to observe the possibilities when applying near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy for the monitoring of internal changes in stored apples infected by Gloeosporium album Apple cultivars Idared and Golden Delicious Reinders were used. Two groups, each containing 20 pieces of infected and non-infected apples of both cultivars and stored in a cold storage room (+or-3 degrees C), were observed for seven weeks.
