Forty-four maize genotypes were screened for their resistance to banded leaf and sheath blight, caused by Rhizoctonia solani f.sp. sasakii during July to October 2002-03, in Pantnagar, Uttaranchal, India. The pathogen was multiplied on autoclaved sorghum grains.
