Growth pattern of developing fruits of peach cultivars

Growth pattern of developing fruits of peach cultivars

Annals of Agricultural Research 26(3): 361-364

Studies on physical and biochemical characteristics of peach cultivars, Flordasun, Parbhat and Shani-Punjab were conducted at Regional Fruit Research Station, Abohar, Punjab, India to depict the pattern of growth of developing fruits. The growth pattern of fruit diameter and weight was categorized in three distinct phases. The percentage growth in terms of fruit diameter was maximum in phase I and the fruit weight was maximum in phase II in all cultivars under observation.
