Reproductive responses to Sel-PlexReg. organic selenium in male and female broiler breeders: impact on production traits and hatchability

Reproductive responses to Sel-PlexReg. organic selenium in male and female broiler breeders: impact on production traits and hatchability

Nutritional biotechnology in the feed and food industries Proceedings of Alltech' s 20th Annual Symposium: re imagining the feed industry, Lexington, Kentucky, USA, 23-26 May 2004: 81-91

Two studies were conducted on the effects of organic (Sel-Plex) and inorganic selenium on the egg traits, fertility and hatchability of broiler breeders. In Study I, 75 hens were divided into 3 groups which were fed diets containing 0.1 (control) and 0.3 mg Se/kg + 0.2 ppm Se from organic and inorganic sources for 3 weeks, after which they were artificially inseminated.
