Research on the groundwater contamination caused by using seawater as land-scape water in channel coastal

Research on the groundwater contamination caused by using seawater as land-scape water in channel coastal

Transactions of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering 22(2): 132-137

With a quite developed river network and convenient channels to the ocean, it is effective to use the seawater as landscape water for improving the aquatic environment of the Tianjin (China) beachfront. A two-dimensional cross-section numerical model of variable density groundwater and solute transport was adopted to analyse the degree and range of groundwater contamination caused by different seawater levels in the channels, as well as the concealed pipes for fresh water injection.
