Research on yield components among apricot seedlings of F1 populations

Research on yield components among apricot seedlings of F1 populations

Acta Horticulturae Sinica 33(3): 477-480

Variability for fruit yield per plant and its components (number of flowers per tree, fruiting rate of self-pollination, fertile flower rate, average fruit mass and number of fruits per tree) was assessed in 52 apricot seedlings (5 to 6 years old) of the F1 population of 'Katy' x 'Xinshiji'. Wide variation was observed for the different characters, with number of fruits per tree and fruiting rate exhibiting the highest coefficients of variation (102.0 and 99.5%, respectively).
