Resistance study of Amaranthus retroflexus L. Species population to the herbicide imazethapyr

Imazethapyr resistance was evaluated in A. retroflexus collected from various localities (Krivaja, Kikinda and Becej) in Vojvodina, Serbia and Montenegro. The growth of A. retroflexus plants exposed to imazethapyr at 0.04, 0.08, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20 or 0.40 kg a.i./litre was evaluated. Seed germination was highest in the population from Krivaja, and very low in the susceptible control, and in populations from Kikinda and Becej.
