Resistance to insecticides in an Indian strain of diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella (L.) (Lepidoptera: Yponomeutidae)

A strain of diamondback moth (DBM) resistant to insecticides was collected from infested cabbage fields near Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The insecticides comprised chlorpyrifos, dichlorvos, monocrotophos, profenofos, triazophos, methomyl, deltamethrin, fenvalerate, profenofos + cypermethrin, cartap hydrochloride, flufenoxuron, teflubenzuron, Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. kurstaki-based products (Biobit and Dipel), and Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. aizawai-based product (Centari).
