Resowing of turf

Resowing of turf

Rasen Turf Gazon 36(4): 112-116

Results are presented of resowing tests carried out in Hohenheim, Germany, during 2003-05. Turf had been sown in October 1995 with Agrostis stolonifera, the Bardot mixture (Festuca rubra species with Agrostis capillaris), and Poa supina. Strips of old turf were removed in July 2003 and resown with Lolium perenne (sowing rates of 25 or 50 g/m2), Poa pratensis (8 g/m2, with or without the germination compound Headstart), and Festuca arrundinacea (50 g/m2).
