Response of Rhizobium to some heavy metals

Journal of Ecobiology 17(6): 589-591

Isolation of symbiotic nitrogen fixing bacterium Rhizobium sp. from groundnut was done from farm fields of Namakkal District, Tamil Nadu, India, to determine the effects of selected heavy metals on growth and survival of Rhizobium sp. Results showed that Rhizobium sp. was able to tolerate higher concentrations of Zn and Ni (500 micro Mol/ml).
