Field experiments were conducted in Niphad, Maharashtra, India, during 2003-04, to determine the response of a groundnut-wheat crop rotation to applications of the recommended nitrogen rates (RDN) via farmyard manure (FYM) and vermicompost. The application of 50% RDN + 25% N through vermicompost with biofertilizers to groundnut produced comparatively higher groundnut pod yield in the kharif season.
