Response of raya to sulphur application in Haryana

Seven on-farm research trials were conducted on sulfur-deficient alluvial soils in different villages of Sonipat, Haryana, India to evaluate the effects of S application to raya crop. Four levels of sulfur as gypsum (0, 32.5, 65.0 and 97.5 kg/ha) were given. Doses of N, P and Zn (80, 30 and 25 kg/ha, respectively) were uniform at all sites. Raya seed yield increased with the application of S fertilizer compared with the control.
