Response of spring triticale 'Wanad' c.v. to cultivation in crop rotation and in grain crop monoculture

A study was conducted in Poland during 2002-04 to evaluate the response of spring triticale Wanad to cultivation in crop rotation, in a 2-species grain crop monoculture (with oats), and single species monoculture of triticale. The average triticale yield was 5.6 t/ha, with a protein yield of 563 kg/ha. Wanad showed higher grain and protein yields under crop rotation and 2-species monoculture than single species monoculture.
