Response of three chickpea cultivars to late foliar spraying with urea as a supplement for early soil applied nitrogen in sandy soils

Response of three chickpea cultivars to late foliar spraying with urea as a supplement for early soil applied nitrogen in sandy soils

Annals of Agricultural Science, Moshtohor 38(1): 31-46

Two field experiments were conducted during 1995-97 in Egypt to study the effects of late foliar spraying of aqueous solution of 1% urea (sprayed twice 80 and 90 days after sowing) and 3 nitrogen fertilizer rates (0, 20 and 40 kg N/fad)applied 21 days after sowing on the growth, yield and yield components of chickpea cultivars Giza 1, Giza 88 and Giza 195.
