Response to the utilization of mountain pastures of Natural Park of Gorbeia on beef cattle

In the present study response of cattle as measured by its liveweight (LW) and body condition score (BCS) to the use of mountain pastures of the National Park of Gorbeia by grazing. Cattle and heifers grazed the mountain pastures 197+or-22 days/year. Average LW in cows increased by 10 kg/cow during the grazing period without changes in the BCS, while average LW gain in heifers was 31 kg/head.
